Anshu Jamsenpa – First Women to Climb Mount Everest Twice in

Jamsenpa a 38 years old mother of 2 children is an Indian mountaineer from
Bomdilla, Arunachal Pradesh. She is the first woman in the world who climbed
the summit of Mount Everest twice in a season and that too within 5 days.
Anshu`s feat the fastest double climbing of the world`s tallest mountain by a
woman.
Biography Of Anshu Jamsenpa:
First Women to Climb Mount Everest Twice in 5 days On 2nd
April 2017, after taking the blessing of His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama, Anshu
began her Everest climbing expedition from Guwahati. She starts her main
expedition journey on April 4th, 2017. Anshu Jamsenpa took 38 days schedule for
acclimatization at the Everest Base Camp at the height of 17,600 feet and on
May 16th, 2017 at 9.15 am along with 17 other climbers, she climbed to the top
of Mount Everest and unfurled the Indian National Flag. She started her second
climbing expedition with a Nepali climber Furi Sherpa on May 19th, 2017 and
continued climbing almost without stopping till 10 pm. Anshu starts climbing
very early the next morning and finally reached the top of Everest at 7.45 am
on 21st May 2017.
Personal Life:
Anshu Jamsenpa`s husband Tsering Wange is the president of
All Arunachal Mountaineering and Adventure Sports Association and she has 2
daughters Pasang Droma and Tenzin Nyiddon. She is the first woman and the first
mother in the world who complete twice double ascents, for this historic
achievement Arunachal Pradesh Government suggest her name for Tenzing Norgay
National Adventure Award. She was also one of the brand ambassadors of Swach
Bharat Abhiyan and recently she has been nominated as a brand ambassador of
North East Tourism. For making her region proud Anshu Jamsenpa was conferred
PhD by Arunachal University of Studies for her achievements in the field of
Adventure Sports. Apart from climbing mountains, Anshu has also been actively
involved in training mountaineers and has train more than 3000 aspirants at her
own expense and capacity. TRULY ANSHU JAMSENPA IS A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE AND AN
